Beach Portraits!

Well it's that time of year again. Time for us to plan our annual beach portrait vacation. It's not really that hard to think about the beach this time of year is it? Anyway, this year we are staying three weeks, but if you want to book a session you need to call soon because they will book up.

County!

Congratulations to the Boaz varsity girls basketball team. Over the weekend they captured the Marshall county championship. I myself had no doubts that this team would bring home that huge trophy. Great job ladies, we'll be cheering for you all the way to Birmingham!

Wow

My new friend Reagan.
Rafe on his 1st birthday!
Brier on her 1st birthday!

I feel like my head is still spinning from Christmas, the New Year, and my trip to Tampa. This is normally a slow time for me and a chance to catch up. But I've actually been quite busy with sessions...gotta love winter babies!

Snow!

It's snowing...in Alabama! I really can't remember the last time we had any significant snow, and it's probably not going to last very long. I'm going to enjoy it while I can because it sure is beautiful.

A great time!

Well I'm finally back from Tampa. And even though I had a great time and learned a lot...I missed home. It's definitely great to be back. While I was there I had a chance to meet and hang out with some truly inspiring photographers. Here is a group shot after lunch at Cafe Dufrain. From left to right: Tim, Jason, Lindsi, me, Jill, Chris, Steve and Robbin (seated). Thanks to all my new friends for making the trip so memorable. It was great meeting everyone. Thanks especially to Jill for organizing the lunch, and for letting me use the photo.

Tampa!

I can't believe it! After 17 years in this business, I've finally decided to attend Imaging USA. This is one of the annual conventions held for professional photographers. This year it happens to be in Tampa Florida, which is closer than it's been in a long time. For me it was a bit of a last minute decision, but so far it's been well worth it. I've only been here for a day and have learned so much my head is spinning. I can't wait to come home to implement some of the new techniques. For now, I'm just going to try and take it all in, and take the opportunity to network with some truly amazing photographers.
