DAX!

This is my little buddy Dax. Don't you just love that name? He's the son of Eric and Amanda Varnadore. Amanda brought him in for his six month appointment and I couldn't believe how much he had grown! The last time I saw him was for his newborn portrait. It never ceases to amaze me to see how fast children grow...especially in the first year. Looking at this portrait makes me ask myself two questions: Will he be and Aggie or a Pirate? And, does he like sweet potatoes?

A New Album!

I finally put the finishing touches on Anna and Justin's wedding album. It was a little overwhelming with so many images to choose from...but I couldn't help myself at this beautiful wedding.

The Bailey Boys!

I had the privilege of photographing these two young men yesterday. I must say that many times my job is just too easy. With happy fellas like this, how could I NOT get good images? I do admit that I resorted to imitating bodily functions though. Sometimes you've just gotta go with what works. Hopefully they didn't imitate me the rest of the day.

Painting!

Lately I've been inspired to do a little painting, which is really my first love. Currently I'm working on a project for my church, but as you can see, I'm not without a little help.

My kids have so much more creativity than I do. Hopefully I can encourage them to pursue careers that will tap their creative abilities.

YOUR DAILY CHALLENGE:

Try to go 5 minutes without using your hands...then say a prayer thanking God for the things you take for granted every day.

Michelle sent this clip to me. If you are a parent, teacher, student, or just someone who cares about kids...you really need to watch this:

Safe in Daddy's Arms

I love this image that I made today of Josh and Grayce. It makes me think about how it's a father's responsibility to protect his kids. It's as if there is a valley with two mountains on either side. Our kids are the valley, and the mountain on one side is the world. The mountain on the other side is the father. If the father is not there for the child...then the world will be.

Josh and I both admit that there's nothing in the world like a Daddy's Girl.
