Prom!

Saturday was quite the busy day for us. Not only did we shoot baseball pictures from 8:30 until 2:00, but then we went straight from there to begin Prom pictures. Usually every year we try and do some outdoor prom portraits and for the last two years we have used the beautiful home of Ricky and Phyllis Young. They are so generous in giving us permission to use their property, and we thank them for their hospitality. I managed to get this senior group shot which is really important to me. I've known most of these seniors since they were kids, and I've watched them grow up. It will be sad in a way to see them graduate, but as always we are excited to see what direction their lives will take. These are good times in their lives, but hopefully the best times are ahead of them.

Kerri and Kevin!

Congratulations to Kerri and Kevin who were married this past weekend. The wedding was simply beautiful. Kerri wore her mother's wedding dress which looked amazing. What's even more amazing is the fact that Kerri is the 8th bride in the family to wear it. Anyway we all had a fun time and even though we had a little rain everything was perfect. A Stellar Performance!

Last night we were highly entertained at the First Baptist Church Preschool production of "The Three Nanny Goats Gruff." Our daughter Sylvie was one of the narrators. She along with the rest of the cast had a spectacular performance. Of course her Daddy thought she looked especially beautiful, and couldn't resist buying her some roses. Thanks to all the kindergarten teachers, Mrs. "Led," Mrs. Kelly, Mrs. Mickie, and Mrs. Karen, along with the preschool teachers and staff. Without them it never would have happened. We are so fortunate to have our daughter in a school where love abounds.

New Displays!

Finally! I'm usually the last person that I order prints for, but I decided that my display prints were in desperate need of an update. I know everyone was probably getting tired of seeing the same portraits, but I had gotten attached to them in a way, yet it was time to let them go. So at long last I have some new displays. Hopefully it won't take me as long to update these when it's time. Just for fun, can you identify the subjects in these portraits? Jamie and Bradley!

You just never know about the weather in Alabama. Last week is was in the mid-80s. This week mother nature decided to play an especially cruel trick on Jamie and Bradley. It was 49 degrees, with wind gusts. For an outdoor wedding on Lake Guntersville that meant it felt more like about 20 degrees. This was the first time I've ever worn gloves to a wedding. Despite the weather, the wedding was beautiful. Jamie of course was stunning...even with her long johns under her gown. We managed to get some great images of this awesome couple, and of course we know they are going to be so happy together. Click here for the slideshow from the wedding!

Going to be an uncle....again

Well for the...let's see....7th time I'm going to be an uncle! Michelle's brother Marty and his wife Katie are expecting a little girl this June. We know these two are going to be great parents, but something tells me little miss Savannah might be just a bit rotten. Let's hope so anyway. You can tell she's going to be photogenic. See...she's smiling!

Amanda and Clifton!

Amanda and Clifton's wedding was just plain fun. There's no other way for me to describe it. Everything was just perfect. From the flowers, to the catering, and even the bride and groom themselves. They are such a cute couple, and we wish them all the best! Click here to see the slideshow.

First Wedding of 2007!

We had a blast Saturday at the wedding of Amanda and Clifton Simpson. They are the sweetest couple with great families and they treated us like family as well. This wedding was our first of 2007, which will be our busiest year ever for weddings. If all our weddings this year are as fun as Amanda and Clifton's, this will be a great year indeed.
