Well it's 1:30 am and we're leaving for the beach in the morning, but I couldn't leave without posting something from this most incredible wedding. Kari and Cody were married at Covenant Cove in Guntersville and although it was quite warm the wedding was simply beautiful. When we started the portraits the sun was out and it was just plain hot, but a cloud came up shortly followed by rain. Just as we were about to shift into plan B, the rain stopped. They clouds however stayed, giving us perfect light for the rest of the day and cooling things off a little bit. These two are a super cute and fun couple, and I admire them for putting up with us and some of our crazy ideas. We were very happy with the pictures, and you can see the slideshow by clicking here. Congratulations Kari and Cody!

Jilli-Bean!
I just love photographing this little angel! She has so many different expressions...and I never know what she's going to do next. It amazes me to look at her now because when we first met she was so small and a little shy, but she has grown so fast and now I guess she just thinks I'm part of the family since she sees me so often. Anyway we had a beautiful but hot day for portraits, and we got a ton of great images, but this one stood out for some reason.

Sara!
This is my new little friend Sara, and she is a true miracle indeed. She slept for most of the session, which I love...but she did wake up for a few shots. This was one of my favorites. As I was sneaking up for a closer shot, she gave us the cutest little grin. Something tells me that she and I are going to get along just fine.

Lori and Shane!
This past Saturday we enjoyed the wedding of Lori and Shane at Crossville First Methodist Church. They are such a cute couple as you can see, and so very easy to work with. Michelle and I have come to know and love this family over the years. Saturday's wedding was the 2nd wedding this year for the McCollum family. I can't imagine what it would be like to plan two weddings within two months. Both weddings were fabulous though. You can see a slideshow from this one by clicking here.
Kendall!
I just wanted to post a quick picture of this little cutie that I photographed the other day. This is Kendall, and she's 1. This is the first time I've had the chance to do her portraits, and she is such a little doll! We got some great images in the studio, but one of my favorites was this one that I took in the waiting room after we finished and she had changed clothes.

Mary and Josh!
Another amazing wedding! This past Saturday, Mary and Josh were married at the beautiful First United Methodist Church of Arab. Everyone was so much fun and easy to work with, which always makes our job easier. It also helps to have a beautiful couple along with an incredible venue. After the ceremony, the reception was held at the incredible Cherokee Ridge Golf Club, and everyone there did an amazing job as well. Mary and Josh are in Hawaii as I jealously type this...of course I offered to cover the honeymoon as well, but they didn't seem to interested in that. To see more images from this spectacular event, you can click here for the slideshow.

1st Place!
Last night, Jackson's baseball team (sponsored by Bentley Gray Photography of course) captured 1st place in the Boaz 7-8 year old division. We are all so proud of these guys who have worked hard all season. We are particularly proud for coach Gary Thrasher, who has been Jackson's coach for several years. He is in my opinion the definition of what a little league coach should be, and he has never been anything but a positive influence on Jackson. Gary and his wife Tammy have put in countless hours of work for this team and we really appreciate it. A big congratulations go out to Coach Gary and the other coaches. And a huge shout out to: Chanler, Joshua, Judson, Micah, Jackson, Ethan, Trace, Brandon, Will C., Will G., and Layton. We are proud of you guys!

My new Bike!
Gas prices aren't the only thing increasing lately. So is my waist line. For those two reasons I've made the commitment to start riding my bike to work while the weather is nice. The only problem is that my 9 year old wal-mart bike was looking like...a 9 year old wal-mart bike. Thanks to the guys at Bike Link of Birmingham who hooked me up with this sweet Townie bike by Electra. This is the perfect bicycle for me since most of my riding will be on level ground and on the road...there aren't any gears to fool around with on this particular model. Plus I can put both feet flat on the ground while sitting in the seat which is a plus. We went ahead and ordered one for Michelle along with a bike rack for my truck and we'll be taking them to the beach in July...looking forward to that!
